Submission guidelines for the conference

Formal Marketing Strategy Meets Wall Street submissions, due by February 18, 2023, should be an abstract (max. 1500 characters) and a presentation of no more than 10 PowerPoint slides (plus cover slide, text on all slides in Times Roman and at least 12 font size) that address the following:

  • Motivation: How does your research connect to the marketing-finance interface (including aspects of responsible behavior, if relevant)? What research question(s) are you addressing? Clearly establish the connection and the issue you are grappling with (1-2 slides).
  • Relevant hypotheses/model: Lay out the theory underlying your study and the formal/informal hypotheses if applicable (1-2 slides).
  • Data & method: Briefly describe your data and research methods or key assumptions/premises for pure conceptual/theoretical work (1-2 slides).
  • Results: Describe the principal findings in words, tables, and figures (3-5 slides).
  • Implications/limitations: On the last slide, clearly state the study’s implications for research and practice as well as the limitations of your study (1 slide).

Important Dates

  • Conference submissions start: November 1, 2023.
  • Conference submission deadline: February 18, 2024
  • Notification of decisions for conference: February 29, 2024
  • Conference: May 22-24, 2024
